PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an axial gap motor of simple structure with the less number of components, with good assemblability of stator unit. SOLUTION: The axial gap motor includes a yoke with a plurality of rectangular cuts having an opening on the outside in the radial direction, being formed in circle, and a protrusion which is formed in the opening to narrow the opening width of the opening. It also includes a stator with a fitting part provided with a groove for internal fitting with the side edge of the cut of the yoke and teeth which protrude from the fitting part and are wound with a coil, having a plurality of teeth cores which are fitted with the cut and prevented from coming off by the protrusion. It further includes a rotor which is formed in circle and is supported on a rotating shaft, being arranged to face the end of the teeth at intervals in the axial direction.
