PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an array antenna in which a grating lobe level is equal to or lower than that in executing full element power feed, even if executing thinning power feed in which about the half of antenna elements are parasitic elements. SOLUTION: Sub-array substrates each have a structure in which points of intersection between four lines parallel to adjacent sides segmenting one side at proportion of 1, 2, 2, 2, 1 from an end on a rectangular substrate consisting of two equilateral triangles having one side of≤4/√3 times used wavelength and four lines parallel to adjacent one side segmenting the adjacent side at proportion of 1, 2, 2, 2, 1 from the end are assumed, two parasitic elements are continuously disposed on two points of intersection from the end out of four points of intersection on one line, two feeding elements are then continuously disposed, and in the points of intersection of the adjacent lines, feeding and parasitic elements are reversely arranged. The plurality of sub-array substrates are juxtaposed in plane so that elements along the side can be deviated by half a pitch to form a hexagon as a whole. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
