PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a security device and a security system capable of, when a user forgets setting operation for an alert mode, preventing a monitoring object from being in an unsecured state and also reducing issuance of a false alert resulting from detection of the user remaining within monitoring object. SOLUTION: The security device 2 has at least an empty alert mode for monitoring intrusion anomaly in the monitoring area, as the security mode, when the monitoring area is empty; an alert canceled mode for not monitoring the intrusion anomaly in the monitoring area; and a manned alert mode for monitoring the intrusion anomaly in the monitor area from the outside when someone is in the monitoring area. When the scheduled alert start time, set up in advance, comes, unless the security mode is set to neither the empty alert mode nor the manned alert mode, the security mode is set to the empty alert mode.
