NONAQUEOUS ELECTROLYTE SOLUTION FOR LITHIUM SECONDARY BATTERY

Disclosed is a lithium secondary battery which stably operates even at a high voltage, while achieving improved thermal stability of electrodes. Also disclosed is a nonaqueous electrolyte solution which is used in the lithium secondary battery. The nonaqueous electrolyte solution for a lithium secondary battery contains (I) a solvent for dissolving an electrolyte salt and (II) an electrolyte salt. The solvent for dissolving an electrolyte salt contains (A) a carbonate compound and (B) a fluoroamide represented by the following formula (1): Rf-(C=O)NR1R2 (wherein Rf represents CF3, CF3CF2, a fluorophenyl group or a fluoroalkylphenyl group; and R1 and R2 may be the same or different and each represents an alkyl group having 1-8 carbon atoms), and the fluoroamide (B) is contained in the solvent for dissolving an electrolyte salt in an amount of 0.01-10% by volume.
