Disclosed is a polymeric low-tack acrylic opthalamic and otorhinolaryngological device material comprising: 1. a principle device forming monomer which is an aryl acrylic hydrophobic monomer of formula (I); 2. a dimethylacryloxypropyl-terminated polydimethylsiloxane macromer of formula (II); 3. and a cross linking monomer, wherein all substituents are as defined in the specification. Also defined is a device comprising the device material wherein the device is selected from the group consisting of a contact lens; a keratoprostheis, a corneal inlay or ring; an otological ventilation tube; and a nasal implant.
