<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lane departure warning system for issuing a warning using a predicted virtual lane-dividing line by using the concept of a virtual lane-dividing line when one lane-dividing line cannot be recognized or when a lane-dividing line is erroneously recognized. <P>SOLUTION: The lane departure warning system includes a camera part for generating video data of a vehicle during traveling, and a video processing part for recognizing a lane-dividing line from the video data, setting a virtual lane-dividing line when the lane-dividing line cannot be recognized, determining whether the vehicle departs from the lane, and transmitting a warning signal when it determines that the vehicle departs from the line. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
