<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a source driver capable of preventing a stationary current flowing through a source amplifier by inactivating the source amplifier when inversion driving of a polarity is not performed. <P>SOLUTION: The source driver includes a potential output means for reading a polarity designation signal designating a polarity of an output potential according to the front edge of a pulse signal of a repeated cycle to output the potential of the polarity designated by the reading polarity designation signal, a source amplifier for outputting a potential according to the output potential of the potential output means to the data line of the liquid crystal display panel as a supply potential, and a control means for shortcircuiting, when the polarity designation signal at the last front edge of the pulse signal and the polarity designation signal at the current front edge signal designate the same polarity, between the input and the output of the source amplifier, and inactivating the source amplifier. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
