METHOD OF GENERATING CIPHER KEY, NETWORK SYSTEM, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of cipher keys that should be continuously held for cipher communication between servers of network systems and terminal equipment by both the cipher keys held by the servers and those held by the terminal equipment. SOLUTION: A first server executes processing for inputting the cipher key of the first server and the attribute value of a second server connected to a low order of the first server into a unidirectional function to generate a cipher key, and the generated cipher key is transmitted from the first server to the second server as the cipher key of the second server. These procedures are successively repeated from a high-order server toward a low-order server in a hierarchical network system, thus generating the cipher key of each server.
