PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound controller for a vehicle that automatically reduces sound output volume in accordance with user's preference when a roof is in an open state and a vehicle speed becomes lower than or equal to a threshold in a convertible vehicle. SOLUTION: The sound controller for a vehicle is mounted in a convertible vehicle including an openable/closable roof so as to output sound in the vehicle cabin. The sound controller for a vehicle includes: a volume correcting means that corrects sound output volume by reducing the sound output volume on the basis of stored correction volume when the roof is in an open state and a vehicle traveling speed is below a predetermined threshold; a volume adjusting means that adjusts the output volume in accordance with input operation by a user; and a correction volume updating means that updates correction volume on the basis of the output volume, adjusted by the volume adjusting means, when the output volume is adjusted by the volume adjusting means in the open state of the roof and in the state that the traveling speed is lower than or equal to the threshold.
