PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device which does not occur slippage and meandering and suppresses the occurrence of fixing deviation and paper wrinkle in the fixing device having a pressure belt pressurized to a fixing member, and to provide an image forming apparatus using the fixing device. SOLUTION: The fixing device includes: a plurality of support rollers stretching the pressure belt to be laid thereamong; the pressure member for pressurizing the pressure belt toward the fixing member; and a lubricant-applying member for applying the lubricant to the inner surface of the pressure belt.
