DISTILLATION METHOD WITH VAPOR PRESSURIZATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid purification system by means of vapor compression distillation including a liquid ring pump with a rotatable housing.

SOLUTION: A liquid distillation system includes: (a) an inflow part for receiving untreated liquid; (b) a vaporizer coupled to the inflow part for transforming the liquid to vapor; (c) a head chamber for collecting the vapor from the vaporizer; (d) a vapor pump with (i) an internal drive shaft and (ii) an eccentric rotor with a rotatable housing for compressing the vapor; and (e) a condenser in communication with the vapor pump for transforming the compressed vapor into a distilled liquid product.
