<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection plate integrated display device, the device having sufficient strength, preventing an air-gathering space from being generated in a resin layer filled between a display panel and a protection plate, and maintaining superior quality in display. <P>SOLUTION: The peripheral part of the face, on the observation side, of a display panel 10 is fixed to a supporting member 4 to arrange the display panel 10 itself on one face side of the support member 4, having an aperture 6 corresponding to the screen area 11a of the display panel; on the other face side of the support member 4, a protection plate 32 is fixed, for arrangement thereof, via a plurality of intermittently provided spacer 33a, 33b which surround the aperture 6, with the protective plate 32 being formed so that the peripheral part of the protection plate has an overhanging width which overlaps the periphery of the aperture 6 of the supporting member 4, and the overhanging width of one edge part of the peripheral part is larger than the overhanging widths of the other edge parts; further the spacer 33b, which corresponds to the edge part of the protection plate 32 in which the overhanging width is large, is formed continuously from the edge part of the aperture 6 to the edge part of the protection plate 32, and both the inside of the aperture 6 of the support member 4 between the display panel 10 and the protective plate and the area surrounded by the plurality of spacers 33a, 33b are filled by a resin layer 34. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
