PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for imaging a pattern on a print medium and for erasing previously imaged pattern from the print medium. SOLUTION: The device for handling a transient document comprises: a scanning light source for illuminating at least one page of a document; and an erasing light source for erasing the imaged pattern on at least one page of the transient document.
