PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester film with a good discriminating function, which does not contaminates the inside of a system while in use, and can be expected in applications for: a life decorating item such as an electronic device and a building material; and a UV ray-sensitive marker and an optical sensor skill in an electronic component. SOLUTION: This polyester film includes a polyester layer which constitutes a surface of the film the surface roughness (Ra) of which is in a range of 0.10-1.00μm, and which contains 0.3-10 wt.% of particles having an average particle diameter of 3-10μm.
