DUAL-PURPOSE FACILITY FOR CONTINUOUS ANNEALING AND HOT-DIP PLATING

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dual-purpose facility for continuous annealing and hot-dip plating, which has a high flexibility of arrangement of a deflector roll and can easily eliminate a metal to be plated which has been deposited on the inner surface of a casing and a snout. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The dual-purpose facility 10 for continuous annealing and hot-dip plating has a hot-dip plating pot 20 arranged at a subsequent stage of a continuous annealing furnace 11 through the snout 19. A front end face 13a of a first tubular casing 13 is connected to an outlet 11a of the continuous annealing furnace 11; and a second casing 14 of which the rear end part 14b is sealed is rotatably connected to the rear end face 13b of the first casing 13 through a shaft support part 15. A turndown roll 23 is arranged at a rear end side of the first casing 13; an inlet 19a of the snout 19 extending obliquely downward is connected to the lower part of the rear end part 14b of the second casing 14; and a sealing device 12 is installed between the outlet 11a of the continuous annealing furnace 11 and the turndown roll 23.
