Disclosed is a tampon having an absorbent body that absorbs a liquid. The absorbent body is provided, on the outer surface thereof, with a coating part in which a preparation is coated, and the coating part has at least two coating layers. The at least two coating layers include: a first coating layer in which a first preparation that contains a medicinal ingredient and a first water-soluble carrier supporting the medicinal ingredient is coated; and a second coating layer in which a second preparation that contains a medical ingredient and a second water-soluble carrier supporting the medical ingredient and having a melting point lower than that of the first water-soluble carrier is coated, said second coating layer being coated over the first coating layer.
