<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine device wherein intake/exhaust system components are efficiently and compactly arranged around a diesel engine 20 in view of the performance of the intake/exhaust system components. <P>SOLUTION: The engine device includes the diesel engine 20 having an exhaust manifold 64 and a DPF 65 for purifying exhaust gas from the diesel engine 20. The DPF 65 is arranged in a form long in a direction orthogonal to an engine output shaft 83 of the diesel engine 20. A cylinder head 60 of the diesel engine 20 includes a supporting block body 131 for supporting the DPF 65.
