<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical connector for a circuit board, the electrical connector confirming the solder connection of a connecting part of a terminal connected to the circuit board, and protecting this connecting part after confirmation. <P>SOLUTION: A housing 10 and a slider 30 have placing surfaces 11A and 37A for placing a flat conductor F in parallel to the circuit board, and the housing has an insertion space 16 capable of advancing the flat conductor. The terminal is arranged in the insertion space at a contact part 21A, and the connecting part 23 is arranged by extending from two wall surfaces of the housing opposed in the longitudinal direction. The slider 30 has an upper wall 31 and a front wall 32 for covering an upper surface of the housing, and can move in the longitudinal direction between an opening position capable of placing the flat conductor F on the placing surface and a closing position for pressing the flat conductor on the placing surface to the contact part of the terminal. When viewed from the right-angled direction to a surface of the circuit board, the slider 30 exposes the connecting part 23 of the terminal of forming a row in the opening position, and covers the connecting part 23 with the upper wall 31 and the front wall 32 in the closing position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
