PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrooptical device capable of improving the display quality. SOLUTION: The device includes a pair of substrates 12 and 13, bonded together via an ultraviolet-curing type sealing material 14; a display region 19 formed on the pair of the substrates 12 and 13; a light-shielding part 18a for shielding an ultraviolet ray 41, disposed in a manner of surrounding the display region 19; and a semi-transmissive part 18b which is disposed outside the light shielding part 18a, in a manner of planarly overlapping with part of the sealing material 14 and has an openings to transmission part of the ultraviolet ray 41.
