摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring method capable of obtaining higher measuring precision when a biogenous biologically active substance is detected by utilizing the reaction of the biologically active substance such as an endotoxin orβ-D-glucan originating from the living thing with LAL or the concentration thereof is measured, and a measuring instrument using the same. SOLUTION: In a case that the start time of the limulus reaction of the biogenous biologically active substance with LAL is judged to calculate the concentration of the biogenous biologically active substance from the reaction start time, the intensity of the transmitted light or scattering light from a mixed solution of a measuring sample and LAL is detected in order to exclude a gradual reducing/rising effect produced regardless of the state of the limulus reaction and the change quantity (difference) per a definite time related to transmittance or the number of gel particles is acquired.
