PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic flowmeter capable of more accurately measuring than before, and to provide a device for eliminating a noise wave of the ultrasonic flowmeter. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic flowmeter 10 includes: a element accepting recess 15, which is branched from a measuring channel 13 and which includes, in depth part of the element accepting recess, an ultrasonic transmitter-receiver 20 capable of transmitting and receiving ultrasonic waves for measurement; and an approximate wavelength noise wave removing groove 17, which is in an intermediate part of a cylindrical inner surface 16 of the element accepting recess. Then, the groove width of the approximate wavelength noise wave removing groove 17 is set to the integer multiple of the half wavelength of the ultrasonic waves for measurement. Accordingly, even if the noise wave of a wavelength approximate to the ultrasonic waves for measurement is propagated inside the measuring channel 13, the noise wave can be reduced or removed when passing through a region R1 wherein the approximate wavelength noise wave removing groove 17 is formed. Thus, measurement, which suppresses the effect of noise wave, can be performed, and measurement accuracy can be more improved than before. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
