PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a partially coated particle, the method forming a film of a uniform shape in a portion of a particle surface, and to provide a partially coated particle manufactured by the manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The method includes: a film forming step of forming a base material 3 on a surface of a substrate 4 and forming the film 2 made of low-melting point material on a surface of the base material 3; a particle arrangement step of arranging particles 1 on the film 2; and a sticking step of heating and melting the film 2, dewetting it on the base material 3, and sticking it to a portion of the surfaces of the particles 1. In each obtained partially coated particle 10, the portion of the surface of each particle 1 is coated with the film 2 made of low-melting point material.
