PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toner for developing electrostatic charge image capable of achieving excellent durability in printing and excellent reproducibility of fine line even under high temperature and high humidity as well as normal temperature and normal humidity and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: This toner for developing electrostatic charge image includes colored polymer particles containing a fixing resin, a coloring agent, a charging control agent, and a release agent. This toner has (1) amount of fatty acid A of 50-6,000 ppm when an extract prepared by extracting this toner by the Soxhlet extraction method is measured by a gas chromatograph mass spectrometer by using this toner as reference and (2) amount of fatty acid B of less than 50 ppm when an extract prepared by extracting this toner after its alkali cleaning by the Soxhlet extraction method is measured by the gas chromatograph mass spectrometer by using this toner as reference.
