The device has a data source for providing existing, stored, recorded and/or randomly generated data. A light source i.e. LED, moving parts, and speakers are arranged in the device, where the speakers imitate TV and radio sounds. A controller controls the operation of the data source, the light source, the moving parts, and the speakers, where the device imitates optical and/or acoustical signals generated in an occupied building using characteristics of the data source, the light source and the controller.
