An apparatus for cleaning/disinfecting medical equipment, in particular endoscopes (44A, 44B) is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a chamber (3), a mounting in the chamber to which a rotating endoscope carrier is attached or removably attachable. A first cleaning means (45) is arranged on or in an internal surface of the chamber (3) with a cleaning fluid source in fluid communication with it. A second cleaning means, inside the chamber (3) and co-terminus with the mounting, is attachable to the end of the endoscope (44A, 44B) and supplies cleaning fluid to the parts inside. The endoscope is attached to the carrier directly or in a cartridge/cassette. As the carrier rotates cleaning fluid from the first cleaning means (45) sprays the endoscopes (44A, 44B) from many different angles. |
