<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing container for an optical article which is configured so that the direction of the packing container can be easily recognized, and even if work is erroneously carried out, the erroneous work can be easily recognized. <P>SOLUTION: The packing container 1 for an optical article P includes: a tray 10 for storing a plurality of optical articles P and having ribs 113 at peripheral portions thereof; and a lid 20 for covering the tray 10 and having other ribs 213 formed at peripheral portions thereof.
