<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of enabling a protection of a circuit even in a case where, if a power source voltage rises and a current continues to flow in a regenerative circuit even with a small regenerative power from a motor or if a regenerative power is generated more than expected and a current continues to flow in the regenerative circuit, a regenerative resistor and a regenerative transistor are overheated and damaged in the worst case so that a servo motor drive device circuit cannot be protected in some cases by a conventional method of detecting overheat by a temperature sensor. <P>SOLUTION: In a predictive regeneration control, the ON/OFF state of the regenerative transistor is observed, a current that flows in the regenerative circuit is calculated and estimated from the observed state, and the temperature of the regenerative resistor and the regenerative transistor is calculated and estimated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
