<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus satisfactorily reducing an impact force occurring when transferring an image. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 is provided with: an intermediate transfer belt 21 carrying a toner image; a transfer part 50; and a driving part for moving the transfer part 50. The transfer part 50 has: a transfer roller 51 facing the intermediate transfer belt 21; a roller member 52 provided approximately in parallel with the transfer roller 51; and a belt member 53 wound around the transfer roller 51 and the roller member 52. In the state where the transfer part 50 is located in a position PG2, the secondary transfer roller 51 is off a position facing the intermediate transfer belt 21 and a stretched portion of the belt member 53 faces the intermediate transfer belt 21. The rear end part of a paper PA leaves a part wherein the intermediate transfer belt 21 and the stretched portion of the belt member 53 face each other, in the state where the transfer part 50 has been moved to the position PG2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
