PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for transmitting data between a transmitter TR and a receiver REC via a communication channel CHNL. SOLUTION: The method further includes a symbol spreading step. In the symbol spreading step, a tunable integer number K of successive symbols Z1, ..., ZK are spread over several time chips prior to transmission, the tunable number K being adjusted with respect to physical properties of a communication channel CHNL. Therefore, data transmitted in any arbitrary given moment do not represent a single symbol Zi like a case of known MIMO system but represents a mixture of the K number of successive symbols. Thus, data diversity with respect to a time sensed at a receiving terminal is introduced and communication throughput between a transmitter TR and a receiver REC can be tuned.
