PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic transistor having high charge mobility, a large current on/off ratio, and excellent storage stability. SOLUTION: The organic transistor has an organic semiconductor layer. The organic semiconductor layer contains a compound expressed by general formula (1). In general formula (1), X<SB>1</SB>-X<SB>14</SB>each independently express a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a linear, branched or cyclic alkyl group, a linear, branched or cyclic alkoxy group, or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, Y<SB>1</SB>and Y<SB>2</SB>each independently express a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a linear, branched or cyclic alkyl group, a linear, branched or cyclic alkoxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, or a substituted ethynyl group, and R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>2</SB>each independently express a substituted ethynyl group, while (n), (r), and (s) independently express 0 or 1.
