PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize simplification of a manufacturing process while maintaining high yield production and high reliability of plasma display panel. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the plasma display panel has a process in which a display electrode is formed at least in one of substrates, a process to form a dielectric layer, and a process in which one substrate and the other substrate are opposedly arranged and surroundings are sealed, while the present manufacturing method of the plasma display panel has a process to form a light-shielding film by using an organic metal compound, in which the light-shielding film manufacturing process is made before the display electrode is formed.
