PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaft seal material for a car air-conditioner formed using compositions capable of improving sealing performance while maintaining excellent deformation resistance and wear resistance. SOLUTION: The shaft seal material for the car air-conditioner is formed using a polytetrafluoroethylene composition, i.e., pitch-based carbon fibers containing 60-90 wt.% of modified polytetrafluoroethylene, 10-30 wt.% of first carbon fibers with an average fiber diameter of 5-30μm and an average fiber length of 20-60μm, and 1-10 wt.% of second carbon fibers with an average fiber diameter of 5-30μm and an average fiber length of 90-200μm.
