<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a derricking gear of a base end side flapper of a platform in a lifting device for a vehicle constituted by a mechanical mechanism with a simple structure and certain operation not requiring electric wiring. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the lifting device for the vehicle in which the platform 6 is moved/stored in a storage box 1 provided at an underfloor 4 of the vehicle 2 together with a four-joint link, the derricking device of the flapper is constituted by a falling coil spring 24 for urging the base end side flapper 16 in a falling direction; a stand-up link 17 standing up integrally or coordinated with a base end part of the base end side flapper 16; a standing-up rod 18 for continuously contacting a base end coordination part 25 of the stand-up link 17 with a distal end surface 18b and moved in a stand-up direction by urging of the spring; a rotation link 21 always rotated while coordinated with the stand-up rod 18 and provided with a coordination surface 32; and a drive link 22 for moving the rod 18 in an opposite direction to an urging direction of the spring by rotating/standing up the rotation link 21 by abutting a continuous contact part 33 on the coordination surface 32 while coordinated with a lifting angle of the four-joint link.
