<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tail light device having a dedicated generator on a rear wheel side, capable of increasing power generation efficiency. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A magnet is retained, being sandwiched between a pair of yokes fitted on a magnet retaining plate 1 mounted on a spoke 2 of the rear wheel 4. The pair of front end surfaces of the yokes have a wider interval than the magnet, protrude from one surface of the magnet retaining plate 1. On the other hand, a pair of front end surfaces of a core of power generation coils of a power generation coil assembly 50 have the same interval as the pair of front end surfaces of the yokes of the magnet assembly. The power generation coil assembly 50 is mounted on a vehicle body frame 3 so that the pair of front end surfaces of the core of the power generation coils form a magnetic path facing the pair of front end surfaces of the yokes of the magnet assembly on a traveling path of the magnet assembly.
