CATALYST FOR HYDROCRACKING TRIGLYCERIDE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new catalyst advantageous industrially which can carry out a hydrocracking reaction at an increased conversion rate to hydrocarbon and selection rate to 15-18C even under conditions of little amount of catalyst wherein the oil/catalyst ratio is approximately 10 in a reaction synthesizing 15-18C hydrocarbon mixture corresponding to light oil by the hydrocracking reaction of triglyceride such as Jatropha oil.

SOLUTION: The catalyst for hydrocracking includes a porous solid oxide modified by a metal belonging to group 10 of the periodic table or a compound containing the same and a metal belonging to group 6 or 7 of the periodic table or a compound containing the same, and is used in hydrocracking triglyceride and manufacturing 15-18C hydrocarbon corresponding to light oil.
