<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the damage of an electrolyte membrane as much as possible with a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: In a unit cell 12 constituting a water electrolyzer 10, an electrolyte membrane-electrode structure 32 is held between an anode side separator 34 and a cathode side separator 36. In the anode side separator 34, a first seal groove 64a is formed to arrange a first seal member 62a going around the outside of an anode side feed conductor 40 and in the cathode side separator 36, a second seal groove 68a is formed to arrange a second seal member 66a going around the outside of a cathode side feed conductor 42. The first seal groove 64a and the second seal groove 68a are set to be arranged at positions different from each other to be across a solid electrolyte membrane 38 in the lamination direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
