<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-pressure pump capable of suppressing pressure pulsation by fuel discharged from a pressurizing chamber. <P>SOLUTION: A supply opening 133 communicating with an inlet to which fuel is supplied and a suction opening 134 communicating with a pressurizing chamber 14 are opened in a fuel gallery 13. An annular second support member 82 for supporting the second peripheral edge of a pulsation damper 131 in the fuel gallery 13 limits the flow of fuel between a second internal fuel space 102 and an external fuel space 100. The suction opening 134 is provided to the side wall 20 of a housing 11 on the radial outside of the second support member 82, and the supply opening 133 is provided to the bottom wall 21 of the housing 11 on the radial inside of the second support member 82. Since the flow velocity of the fuel is reduced when the fuel discharged from the suction opening 134 into the external fuel space 100 flows into the second internal fuel space 102, the pulsation suppressing effect of the damper member can reliably act on the fuel in the second internal fuel space 102. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
