<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To synchronize an A-D conversion frequency of a sampled electric signal to an optical pulse for sampling. <P>SOLUTION: A light signal monitoring device includes: a light pulse generator 2; an electric field absorption type optical modulator 3; a bias voltage generator 4; a light receiving unit 5; an A-D converter 6; an optical coupler 7; a light pulse frequency detector 21; and a delay unit 22. The light signal monitoring device for evaluating the waveform of a light signal Px measured in an equivalent sampling system further includes the light pulse frequency detector 21 for detecting a repetition frequency of a light pulse Ps for sampling. The A-D converter 6 converts an electric signal Ey to a digital signal Dy in synchronization with the repetition frequency f detected by the light pulse frequency detector 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
