<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce horizontal streak noise without depending on an imaging state. <P>SOLUTION: In the television camera including a common image format CCD portion 101 for converting input light to a signal voltage and outputting it, a timing signal generation section for generating a timing signal for driving the CCD part, a noise reduction section for reducing the noise of the signal voltage, a video processing section for processing the signal voltage, a representative value detection section and a correction section, a no-signal period is formed in a mode where a horizontal blanking period is long during the horizontal blanking period in case the camera is used with a vertical synchronizing frequency of 50 Hz, the noise reduction section clamps a horizontal no-signal period, the representative value detection section detects a representative value of N-th order from the minimum value of an optical black period outputted from the CCD portion, and the correction section subtracts the representative value from an effective pixel signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
