<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state image pickup device capable of also detecting objects to be imaged, such as light sources blinking at high speed. <P>SOLUTION: The solid-state image pickup device uses a logarithmic conversion type image pickup device, where an output voltage has logarithmic characteristics to the quantity of reception light. In the solid-state image pickup device, when an interval for reading the output voltages of all of the pixels arranged in a lattice shape is set to be one frame, the interval is divided into a plurality of subframes, a combination of matrixes is allowed to differ for each subframe, interlace-scanning is performed in vertical and horizontal directions, and the output voltage of the pixel is read in subframe units. Then, detection processing of the objects to be imaged is performed based on the read output voltage each time when the read of the output voltage of the pixel is completed in each subframe. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
