FUNCTIONAL SPECTRAL FILTER AND EVALUATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a functional spectral filter that is suitable for discrimination between first and second states of an observed object in similar colors.

SOLUTION: The functional spectral filter having a multilayer film on a transparent substrate has a spectral transmittance of the multilayer film set such that the degree of separation of first and second groups that are respectively groups of color information given by the output of a digital camera imaging an observed object in first and second states with the intervention of the spectral filter is larger than the degree of separation of third and fourth groups that are respectively groups of color information given by the output of the digital camera imaging the observed object in the first and second states without the intervention of the spectral filter.
