PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roadside device capable of notifying a user of an on-vehicle device of abnormality and surely preventing a malfunction without repeating a reset operation in a radio section when a reference clock signal or a control signal stops. SOLUTION: In the roadside device, a main clock operation circuit 8 in the radio section 6 is synchronized with main clocks obtained by multiplication of reference clock signals transmitted from a control section 7 and performs an operation for exchanging a radio signal with an on-vehicle device mounted on a vehicle. An abnormality detection circuit 111 in the radio section 6 detects abnormality when a reference clock signal or a control signal transmitted from the control section 7 stops for a prescribed time or more. When the abnormality is detected, a reset signal generation circuit 112 outputs a reset signal to the main clock operation circuit 8, and a notification circuit 113 controls a display device 12 and a speaker 13 to notify the abnormality.
