PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate type heat exchanger free from accumulation of condensate by collecting the condensate generated in a heat exchanging process, and promptly leading out the same to the external, with respect to the plate-type heat exchanger used as a heat exchanger in which one of fluids exchanging heat, is a high-temperature gas. SOLUTION: A heat transfer plate 10 is disposed in a standing state, the heat transfer plate 10 is formed into the shape having a condensate accumulation space 15 so that a collecting section 17 for the condensate generated when a temperature of the high-temperature gas is lowered in a heat exchange process, is formed on a bottom section of a high-temperature gas circulating layer, and the condensate collected in the collecting section 17 can be led out to the external.
