PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation device of a manual transmission superior in term of weight and cost, by further improving an operation feeling with a simple structure without adding a part to a conventional constitution. SOLUTION: This operation device 1 of the manual transmission includes a manually operable shift and select shaft 2, a plurality of fork shafts 31, 32 and 33 for selectively meshing a set of shift gear sets for constituting respective shift stages, an inner lever 4 for operating a selected one shaft for shifting by selectively operating the one shaft from the plurality of fork shafts, a lock ball 51 fitted to a fitting object part formed in the inner lever 4, and a pressing member 52 for rollably pressing the lock ball 51 on the inner lever 4. The fitting object part includes dimples (45, 49 and others) arranged in respective positions on the inner lever 4 for pressing the lock ball 51 in response to the respective shift stages when the inner lever 4 finishes select operation and shift operation.
