PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve fitting workability of a spacer ring body 31 into a bearing hole 30 in an internal combustion engine in which a balancing shaft 11 parallel with a crankshaft 6 is inserted in a balancing shaft housing 10 from the bearing hole having an inner diameter D1 larger than a maximum diameter D0 of the balancing shaft, and the balancing shaft is rotatably journaled by the spacer ring body detachably fitted in the bearing hole. SOLUTION: The spacer ring body 31 is fitted inside the bearing hole by screwing a male screw 33 provided on an outer peripheral face of the spacer ring body with a female screw 32 provided on an inner peripheral face of the bearing hole 30.
