<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of preventing a registration of an incorrect image and unsuitable information in a method for informing a message concerning printer setting made by a user in accordance with the use condition of the printer by a registered image. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the printer having a function of displaying the image as the message registered by an operator in accordance with a set value when the set value of the printer is changed via an operation panel device mounted on the printer, the printer includes an approval request-informing means for sending a mail informing the approval request of the image registration as the message to a printer administrator, an approval treatment means for the printer administrator to conduct the approval treatment of the image registration, and an approval result-recognizing means for informing the approved result to the operator.
