<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress excess rotation of a generator even when a gas pedal is largely pressed to the floor from an off-state of the gas pedal when the temperature of a battery is low. <P>SOLUTION: When battery temperature Tb is less than a threshold Tbref and the gas-pedal is turned to an on-state from an off-state, and when an absolute value of control torque Td* output to a drive shaft is less than a threshold Tdref1, the rate value Trt is set by taking the rate value Trt which is set by the rate value lower limit guard Tlim which is not more than a normal value T1 as a lower limit guard (S160-S180), and the control Torque Td* is set by a rate processing using this rate value Trt.
