SLIDING DOOR CONSTRUCTION FOR PLATFORMS AND METHOD FOR THEIR FITTING

The reliable sliding door construction has stationary regions (1) and sliding doors (2, 3). Both the stationary regions and the sliding doors have a height of 1-2 m above a floor level (22) of a passenger region (20) above which no means for separation of passenger region and track region (21) are arranged. The sliding doors are self-supporting and guided to move in or on the stationary regions with provision of an upper and lower guide (10, 11). One guide is provided as a roller guide (10) or ball bearing linear guide and one guide is a slide guide (11) or roller guide. An independent claim is included for a method for assembly
