PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe and effective ameliorating agent for COPD having PC-SOD as an active ingredient. SOLUTION: The ameliorating agent for COPD has lecithinized superoxide dismutase represented by formula (I): SOD'(Q-B)<SB>m</SB>(wherein SOD' is a residue of superoxide dismutase; Q is a chemical crosslink; B is a residue produced by removing the hydrogen atom from the hydroxyl group at the 2-position of the glycerol moiety in lysolecithin; and m is an integer of one or greater which is the average number of lysolecithin molecules bound to one superoxide dismutase molecule) as an active ingredient and is administered intravenously or via inhalation.
