PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety valve fitted with a pressure indicator free of a dimensional change and structured compactly. SOLUTION: A guide shaft 16 is installed inside a cylinder body 12, and between the cylinder body 12 and the guide shaft 16 a ring-shaped sliding member 18 energized by a compression coil spring 20 is installed. At the peripheral surface of the cylinder body 12, a pressure indicating means 39 is formed along a clear window part 36, and the guide shaft 16 is furnished with a pressure relief groove 40 stretching in the axial direction. Because the sliding member 18 moves in compliance with the pressure, the pressure can be grasped by reading the pressure indicating means 39. When a pressure rise causes the relief groove 40 to be exposed at a first fluid chamber 34, the first fluid chamber 34 and a second fluid chamber 35 are put in communication through the relief groove 40, and the compressed air in the first fluid chamber 34 is put open to the second fluid chamber 35, and further the pressure air put open to the second fluid chamber 35 is released outside in the cylinder axial direction via a pressure relieving hole 28 to allow the arrangement to function as the safety valve.
